Define a broad topic area of interest which you think is practical for investigation in the course of this semester.
Using the search techniques demonstrated in class, conduct a search of all appropriate data bases looking for studies relating to your prepared area of interest.
Be thorough. If the data base has hard copy information dating back farther than CD ROM or on-line material, be sure to search it manually. Some topics such as effectiveness of instructional TV were covered extensively in the '60s and '70s.
Using the resources of our library, get as much information as you can on the topic. Full text articles are preferred, but abstracts are helpful as well. Do not request material by inter-library loan at this time. Turn in citations only on material unavailable in our library.
At a minimum, try to find 3 citations PLUS 2 full text articles or sections in books. Photocopy or print out the full text material. Bring these to class next week.
